But… the original line is so much prettier. “He jests at scars that never felt a wound.” It sounds like a heart beating when you read it out loud. It’s beautiful…
it’s called iambic pentameter, all his pieces were written in that rhythm. he wanted people to feel his art. not just seeing or listening but feeling it in their hearts, that’s why it has got that heartbeat-feel…
II feel like a lot more people would like Shakespeare if they weren’t forced to read around the same three works of his in school. If you take a step back he really does write very beautifully
